The Joy of Volunteering
Volunteering at the community center has been a life-changing experience. Every Saturday morning, I help organize a free art class for kids from low-income families. Some arrive shy, but when they hold a paintbrush, their eyes light up. One boy, Tom, used to draw only dark clouds, but after weeks of encouragement, he painted a sunny landscape with his family in it. Volunteering teaches me to appreciate what I have and cherish human connection. It’s not just about giving time; it’s about sharing hope and seeing the world through others’ eyes. Each smile from a child reminds me that small acts of kindness can create big waves of change.
